The Great Leeds Walk is back for 2026 – bigger, better, and more inspiring than ever! Join us for an unforgettable challenge while helping local families in need through Leeds Baby Bank.

Whether you're walking solo or as part of a team, this is your chance to explore the stunning landscapes of Leeds while making a real difference for babies and young children across the city.

The Challenge

Starting and finishing at Leodiensian Club, the Great Leeds Walk takes you through a mix of scenic countryside and urban routes, showcasing some of Leeds’ hidden gems.

Choose your distance:

10 Miles – The Halfway Hike
A manageable and rewarding walk, perfect for beginners.

18 Miles – Go the Extra Mile
A great mid-level challenge to push yourself further.

26 Miles – The Full Circle
The ultimate endurance walk for seasoned adventurers.

You can walk with a guided group or take on the well-marked route at your own pace.

Entry Fees

£20 – Individual entry

£150 – Group entry (early bird, until 31 May 2026)

£190 – Group entry (1st April 2026 onwards)

Fundraising for Leeds Baby Bank

We encourage all participants to fundraise to support families facing hardship across Leeds.

Suggested Fundraising Targets

10 miles: £100

18 miles: £150

26 miles: £200+

What Your Fundraising Could Provide

Your efforts will directly support mums, babies and young children with essential items. Here’s what your fundraising could achieve:

£50 – Provides a starter bundle of nappies, wipes, and toiletries for a newborn

£100 – Supplies a mosses basket and bedding for 2 babies without a safe place to sleep

£150 – Funds a clothing package for multiple children, including warm coats and shoes

£200 – Helps equip a family with larger essentials such as a cot, pram, or highchair

£500+ – Supports multiple families in crisis with emergency bundles of essential items

Every pound raised helps ensure no baby in Leeds goes without the basics they need.

Participants must be 16 years or older

Routes include uneven terrain and steps

Suitable footwear and preparation are essential
